Amazing staff, very solicitous, especially the doorman/valet! The room was very nice, quiet, well appointed, and the bathroom was a complete surprise, in an excellent way. Also, to say that HSB is pet friendly would be an understatement. They are pet welcoming! They provided bowls, floor rugs, bathing towels, and even a can of treats for our each of our little guys.

Everything was perfect. The Front Office team was really great and we enjoyed a lot our stay, even if it was only for one night. The quality of the service was amazing (we had a litle gift waiting for us in the room as we were celebrating a birthday). The location is great (centre of the city) and the SPA is also really nice.

Room service food was delicious. Check-in/check-out staff were superb. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Upscale hotel without a snooty attitude. This was our favorite hotel among several excellent hotels we stayed in during our 3-week vacation in France and Switzerland.

Nice hotel located across from the train station. I usually do not choose hotels near a city train station. Bern and the Schweizerhof is an exception. Bern is working hard to become a car-free city and while its train station is a fair-sized connector throughout Switzerland and Europe, it was not crowded, noisy, or dirty. Our room was small but had everything we needed. The bathroom was large with a shower and bathtub. Separate WC. The staff attentive and accommodating. This hotel definitely seems to cater to business people.

All the staff, without exception, were excellent, friendly and really went out of their way to be helpful. The location was great, right opposite the train station (yet still quiet) and an easy stroll into the heart of Old Bern. The breakfast was very good, although one of our orders had been overlooked and when it did arrive after reminding waiting staff was not quite the same as had been originally requested. But it was very well cooked and presented. The shakshuk breakfast dish was delicious! The room was comfortable, beautifully furnished, quiet and spotlessly clean. The Bulgari toiletries and the children’s toiletries pouch were a lovely touch. We had been upgraded to a ‘suite’, which was a lovely surprise at check-in; although in actual fact it wasn’t so much a suite but a room with a desk and sofa that had been converted into an extra bed for our child. Consequently the room was on the small side, but comfortable nonetheless. Excellent spa, very relaxing and lovely that children were allowed to use the spa pool. Spa staff were excellent.

The localization (just in front of the train station), the spa (we had to reserve a slot in advance which is great so you are sure there is enough space for everyone ), the room was spacious particularly the bathroom and the style of the room was modern and elegant. The bar and the restaurant are excellent too, although for the standing of the hotel I was expecting a more refined restaurant. Cocktails at the bar are absolutely exquisite! Service is excellent and staff very well trained.
